Husky the Muskie Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

moonsocket: Well. with 113 finds, I think this one has had it's run. And with a suspected muggle onto the GZ, I lost 2 containers rather quckly.... Just as Xplorer and Ramblin Rose opened up the area 2 years ago, I will do the same now. Someone else can have a turn making a super snakey cache at this high-traffic tourist site. Thanks to all the finders! happy caching!

Geocache Description:

Husky The Muskie

Circa 1967

One of Kenora’s most famous landmarks, Husky the Muskie, overlooks the waterfront, year round. Built in 1967 as part of Canada's centennial celebrations, this 40 ft / 12 m tall structure stands peacefully in McLoed Park. The Statue was designed by Jules Horvath and Bob Selway. One of Kenora’s ‘most visited’ caches (GC11XK3) once sat near this site, with over 130 finds in a few years, this cache had a good turnout for a 'remote' community. This old cache was recently archived; so the area became open to other cachers. Being such a high-traffic area; I felt it needed a much more ‘sneaky’ cache. Stealth is required, and stealthy activity is always fun. Try not to be too suspicious in your search. Look for a black nasty nano right on the fish.
