nucci6: Sadly it has come time to archive this one. It is hard to believe that a couple of weeks have already passed.

Once again I thank you all for coming and making this a great event. Thanks again for all the donation items! Thanks to all who helped out. Without all of you MWB would not happen.

I am looking forward to this winter winding down and hopefully getting to see you all again at some point or anotherwhile out on the trail.

Geocache Description:

If it is mid-winter, it is time for the Fifth Annual Central PA MidWinter Blahs event cache!

The weather is once again very *very* much winter and the days are short and spring break and unfrozen caches are a loooong ways away. This means it is time for our fifth annual mid-winter event!

As with the previous 4 events I have reserved both back rooms at:

We'll keep the log book open until 3:30 for those who may arrive late.

Come enjoy a good lunch, good fellowship, and swap tales of the hunt and the cache that got away.

Sadly our dear friend George1 will only be with us in spirit at this event. Let's do something special to pay tribute to a good friend, fantastic cacher, and great all around guy.

Bring TB's to swap and stories to tell.

No need to make any reservations ahead of time but if you plan to attend just drop a note here to let me know how many are coming. This way I can give the restaurant a better idea of a head count before the event.

We had about 100 crazy cachers show up last year and a good time was had by all. Let's top that number this year!

----- POST EVENT UPDATE ----

They say time flies when you're having fun (the event). Unfortunately it also flies when you are not having fun (the last few days) and I can't believe 3 days have elapsed since the event and I have been a more than a bit tardy in properly thanking everybody.

What makes events like this fun and worthwhile are the people. Without you and your camaraderie we'd just be a group of people sitting in a restaurant. There is a certain energy present when we get together as a group and my only regret is the event flies by much too quickly.

I thank all of you for braving the cold weather and warming up the room. It was great to see so many familiar faces.

I really need to thank Moe2 for all the work he does to help make the event special. There is nothing quite like a Moe2-led raffle! Unfortunately we forgot once again to raffle off Moe2 himself and once again Moe1 had to bring him home.

I also would like to thank all those who brought donation items for the raffle. Once again I didn't write down everybody who brought something so please don't take offense if I didn't list you here!! Moe2 for his usual large assortment of stuff (although I don't quite understand the RainX), Scoof for the honey, and whoever supplied the colorful micro cache containers! We all really appreciate the donation items.

We also need a special shout out to Jockster and Scoof who achieved golden ammo can status. Congrats guys on your significant milestone achievement.

I hope to see you all next year at MWB VI.
