What: A
Geocacher Get Together with a Lunch Buffet, $11.50 per person, age
5 and under free, includes beverage and gratuity. Please Give the
number of attendees in your group that will be buying Lunch so the
Chef can Calculate the proper amount of food to
prepare.
Who: All
Cachers, Newbies and Old Timers are invited to join us on the
Southern Oregon Coast for lots of Geo-Fun and Geo-Chat, Share your
Favorite Geo-Memories.
Why: Just for
the Fun of Getting Together with Geo-Friends that you have and have
not met yet, Come to the Coast and Get Out of The Snow and The
Cold, ( No Guarantee on the Cold ). Due to Travel Costs approaching
$200...Signal the Frog will not attend this year.
We Ask That
Everyone Bring A Geocaching Related Item To Trade As Door
Prizes.....Camoed Cache Containers, TB Dog Tags, AA Batteries,
Geocoins, Caching Supplies, Ammo Cans.....Anything You Think Other
Cachers Would Like.
We Will
Again Be Doing A RAFFLE To Help Cover Expenses Of The Event. RAFFLE
Tickets Will Be Available At $1.00 per ticket, $5=6 tickets,
$10=12, $20=25. We will have many Geocaching Items available, Many
items are Generously Donated by Geocaching Venders from all over
the United States and Canada, The Same Dealers that supply us with
most of the items we use in our Sport. Last year we received
donations from LandSharkz.ca, TheCachingPlace.com, Oakcoins.com,
CacheAddicts.com, CoinsandPins.com, and even Groundspeak.com made a
generous donation of items.
We hope
that many of the Local Merchants will again be able to make
Donations as in past years. The Mill Casino Hotel, Benetti's
Italian Restaurant, TeeShirt Express and Charleytown Market Place
are some of the Local Merchants that have supported us year after
year.
If You Know
Of Any Business That Would Like To Make A Donation Of A Door Prize,
Feel Free To Bring It Along With You.
If Anyone
Has An Old Unused GPS That They Would Like To Donate As A Door
Prize, No Matter How Old, We Know That Many Younger Cachers Would
Love To Get A GPS Of Their Own.

We will
also be continuing the Oregon's Adventure Coast Geocaching
Challenge this year, By completing the Challenge cachers will
receive a Trackable Geocoin made of Myrtlewood. locally made and
Donated by The Oregon Connection/House of Myrtlewood. The Challenge
will be to locate a number of interesting and historical locations
by Coordinates throughout Oregon's Adventure Coast and answer
specific questions about each location.
If you are
planning to do the Oregon's Adventure Coast Geocaching
Challenge...We recommend you pick up your "Challenge Question
Brochure" by 9;00AM Saturday by stopping at The Red Lion Hotel, We
will be there setting up in the Banquet Room. The Challenge should
take from Two to Three hours to complete and the Geocoins can be
picked up with a completed Questionaire at The Oregon Connection/
House of Myrtlewood. The House of Myrtlewood Will Not be open on
Sunday Feb 20th.
