We went to a CITO event at Buckland Station in 2008 and enjoyed ourselves so we decided to try another one this year.
Here is a time to help Fort Churchill with anything needed. Fixing paths,cleaning up rubbish,weeds and debris. So we can keep it a nice and pleasant State Park to keep coming back to. And for all visitors to enjoy.
We would like all that want to come out and help in the CITO to be there by 10:00 a.m. an Saturday June 4, 2011. We will be cleaning up for about 4 hours, so bring gloves, water and in good spirits to clean.
Then we will be getting a tour of the buckland station at about 2:00 p.m. after the cleanup. And after that we will be having a cookout we are providing Hamburgers and Hot Dogs if all that come can bring a side dish of some sort.
Please let's show our Support for preserving and interpreting Nevada's Historical Fort Churchill. We are also placing a cache for the event.
There will also be a campout Saturday night for all that wants to stay.
Fees for park are as follows.
Day pass: $5.00
Camp: $10.00
Per vehicle if you want to do both it will be $15.00 total.
So come one and all for clean up, fun, food and friends.
There are also a few caches around the area if noone has found them yet.
