Geocache Description:

Cache is an ammo can

Located in R.B. Winter State Park. Cache is located on Overlook Trail. Please do not bushwhack as that will violate the agreement with the DCNR Permit and could result in the cache being archived. Shortest Route would be the parking lot on McCall Dam Road Just past the actual Overlook Parking (See a park map). However those of you looking for an enjoyable longer hike from the day use area, Boiling Springs Trail and Overlook Trail make a nice loop very roughly 2.25 miles. Terrain rating would be upgraded then to a 3 star. McCall Dam Road does NOT get winter maintenance so you would likely need to park at the Sand Mountain Road parking lot. This part of the park is open to hunting so wearing some hunter orange is recommended especially from October to Early February. As in the whole park, there is a small chance of running into a rattlesnake so look before you reach and please leave these wonderful creatures alone we are guest in their home!
