Shadowy Span Traditional Cache
BikeBill: Though this cache has been here for over ten years. I'm archiving it. A cacher was told that it was located on private property and then moved it somewhere. I'll solve the problem by archiving it.

This cache is at a little known township footbridge that crosses ‘Old Stinky’ (as locals call the Newtown Creek) on the northern end of Newtown. I figured it was a place just begging for a hide. You can park in one of the parking lots below Newtown Pizza (and adjacent shops) on Sycamore Street. Incidentally, there is a nice variety of eateries along that stretch of Sycamore, so this is a great cache to go for if you’re hungry!
The cache is a larger micro with a log and (short) pencil.
IMPORTANT NOTICE: As of January, 2016, the bridge has been closed due to structural problems. Do not go on the bridge! The cache can be found from ground level. Approach from the northwest (Sycamore Street) direction.
