Geocache Description:

Beginner's instructions for geocachers to be held throughout the day, beginning at 11 a.m. and going until 6 p.m., Saturday, June 11, in conjunction with the Gathering
Waters Festival at Lakeshore State Park on Milwaukee's lakefront.

This is a regional event of The Wisconsin Geocaching Association as part of the third annual Gathering Waters Festival. This is also an opportunity for all geocachers to gather and have fun at this beautiful lakeside location.

Note: Experienced geocachers are needed as volunteers to explain geocaching to visitors from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. and assist them in finding geocaches hidden in the park. Please indicate if you will be available to volunteer and for what time period during the day.

Visitors will learn about this fun form of high-tech scavenger hunting and go on a hunt for hidden geocaches using a handheld GPS navigation receiver. For experienced geocachers, there are two permanent geocaches hidden in the park.

The Gathering Waters Festival is being presented by the Friends of Lakeshore State Park as a way to introduce more people to this jewel of a park on Milwaukee's lakefront. Admission to Lakeshore State Park is free. No DNR sticker is required. If you get there early enough, you may be able to park behnd the Marcus Ampitheater near where GC1ZQ3T is hidden.

Note: The listed coordinates are approximate for the event. Look for the WGA tent near the beach on the lagoon.
