Posted coords will bring you to the start of your adventure. Follow the tacks until you see a line of three tacks. Look around in a circle until you see three more tacks. Continue in that direction for 60 feet beyond the last three tacks.
Hickory Hills is a beautiful area of terminal morraine, dotted by kettle lakes, hills and valleys and mixed hardwood forest. Chippewa County has built a wide cross country ski trail through the forest, as well as smaller trails for mountain bikes and snow shoeing.
This will be a long walk on an easy trail to follow.
The last 100 feet will be off the trail, but an easy walk.
Misquitos and ticks are plenty out here, so bug juice is a must.
The trail may be muddy at different times of the year.
