Geocache Description:

This is my tribute to all those we've loved and lost

I lost my mother on February 21, 1985. I was 6 weeks shy of turning 4. I was playing in my sandbox in the backyard when my dad came up to me and said, " mommy has gone to be with God". At such a young age loss was a word without meaning and I remember asking my dad, " will mommy be back for my birthday?"
This cache is in honor of the memories of those gone forever. If one person shares a funny story, or event or saying about their loved one then their memory lives on in our hearts forever. I designed this cache to be a time capsule of the marks left on our hearts. I do not intend this to be a swag switching cache. I want everyone that can or is willing to bring a picture of someone they've lost (smaller than 8"x8") with you to leave in the cache. Attach a story if you'd like or just place there names on the backs of them. This way when others come they may see the pictures and read the stories and in essence further carry on the memories with them. I want each and every visitor to take away a memory a smile or just a good old giggle so share.
Now the cache is a waterproof box to safeguard your photos inside a HUGE container. But please feel free to prop up the container and take a picture and post it.
"Death is not a period but a comma in the story of life"
