Grotte du Chaos
Le domaine souterrain est un milieu naturel hostile à l'homme. Ne vous y aventurez pas sans avoir prévenu des proches de votre destination, ni sans vous être muni d'un matériel minimum . Les grottes recèlent des trésors mais aussi des dangers. Plutôt que de les explorer seul, demandez à être guidé par des spécialistes du milieu.
La cache étant située à l'extérieur vous n'aurez pas à vous aventurer dans la grotte.
Historiquement cette cavité portait le nom de grotte Jean Doc et a été signalée par Stéphane ERRARD en 1938. À l'époque seul le grand porche d'entrée était connu.
C'est à partir du milieu de 1957 que cette cavité révèle une partie de ses secrets avec le passage menant à la 1ère salle puis à la grande salle. Depuis les découvertes n'ont cessé de fleurir grace aux travaux menés par Michel LOUIS.
Les derniers travaux ont permis l'ouverture d'une seconde entrée en 1990. Cette entrée est actuellement la plus sûre, l'entrée historique s'effrondrant lentement .
Avec ses 1750m de développement la grotte du chaos est la plus grande de meurthe et moselle.

Suite à la mésaventure de Suubliem je vous invite à redoubler de prudence si vous abordez cette cache par le bas côté voie ferrée. Le terrain est trés difficile, la piste est inexistante et la forêt est inhospitalière. Alors que par le haut une piste vous amène à proximité de la cache sans trop de difficulté.
Attention aux rochers qui peuvent être glissants et occasionner des chutes.
