An easy cache, but tree cover may be a problem!
The church at Mawnan is probably named after the Breton monk, St Maunanus, who landed at this place in 520AD. As the site of the church is above the mouth of the Helford, it is used as a navigational aid by vessels entering the river. The granite coffin rest and lych gate were built in 1881 and the churchyard was extended in 1920. This a wonderful haven of peace.
