Hier haben wir den ersten Lärchen-Cache untergebracht, eine Mikro-Installation. Bitte behandelt den Baum mit Respekt; klettert nicht an ihm hinauf und rupft nicht an seiner Rinde!

Die feinen, hellgrünen Nadeln im Frühling und im Sommer, das goldgelbe Kleid bis in den Winter hinein, das sind die eindrücklichen Farben in den Wäldern des Binntals. Die Lärche, der dominante Baum, ist dafür verantwortlich. Die jahrhundertealten Häuser, Ställe und Stadel sind alle aus seinem Holz gebaut. Von der Sonne inzwischen fast schwarz gefärbt. Der älteste Baum im Tal steht einige hundert Meter über Imfeld, eine imposante Gestalt von Knorrigkeit und Umfang - mit einzelnen Ästen so dick wie Stämme, bizarr, senkrecht nach unten oder oben gewachsen. Geschätztes Alter: 500 Jahre.
The fine, bright green needles in springtime and in summer, the branches wrapped in gold until winter, these are the impressive colors in the forests of the Binntal. The Larch, the dominant tree, is responsible for this. The houses, stables and stadels are all built from its wood since centuries. Ever since, they have been receiving their dark color by the sun. The oldest tree in the valley stands several hundred meters above Imfeld, an awe-inspiring creature featuring a substantial diameter - with single branches as massive as trunks, grown bizarrely, vertically up- and downward. Estimated age: 500 years.
