THE COORDINATES HAVE CHANGED TO ENABLE A SAFER PLACE. You don’t need to go all the way into the village ruins if you don’t want to. NEW COORDINATES JULY 2021 N 34 44 167 E032 36 005 Souskiou near Nikoklei is an (almost) deserted village.
A few local cachers kindly informed us that the cache is not in Nikloklia but in a nearby settlement called Souskiou. Nikoklia is not deserted but has a population of more than 200 people. Thank you all for your positive input and rest assured that we have taken your improvements on board and we have slightly changed the name and the description accordingly. We have the intention to make an owl trail of caches in the Western part of Cyprus. They will all be called Athene Noctua, to honour this beautiful owl that preferably lives in old buildings. The first cache is hidden in another (almost) deserted village Vretsia. There is no need to go inside buildings and especially avoid entering areas used by the farmer not to disturb his privacy.
