Saturday in
the Park
A Meet, Mingle
& Cache Event
|
|
Date: Saturday, September 24
Time: 2 - 5 p.m.
(may be longer if anyone wants to stick around for a friendly
Massachusetts vs. Rhode Island softball/kickball game after the
Event)
Place: Dartmouth Regional Park &
Trails, located on Harry M. Reynolds Drive (off of Old Fall River
Rd.) in North Dartmouth, MA. Enter the park, drive to the end
of the road where you'll see a rotary, a covered pavilion, and
parking. Please note that although the website states that a
parking pass is required for use of the park, it is not enforced. A
parking pass is NOT needed to use the park! Event
will be held rain or shine.
Food: Snacks and soft drinks will be
provided.
Bring a picnic lunch or charcoal & food if you want to cook on
the grills available at the pavilion.
Caches: The park has 11 existing caches
(have you done any or all?!?). If you have done them all,
don't fret ~ there will be at least two new caches in place for the
Event.
Bathrooms: Public restrooms are available
just a short walk from the pavilion to the rotary area.
Trackables: Bring any that need to move
along or your personal collection for others to see and
discover.
Note: Unfortunately, 4-legged geo-pets
(dogs) are not allowed in this park.
There'll be a few raffles for items like ready-to-hide
caches, unactivated TB's, etc. If you'd like to bring
something to donate for the raffle, please make a note in
your "Will Attend" log.
This is the first event that either 4Swans or GeoKat have
hosted. We're keeping it simple, with the emphasis being on
meeting, mingling, and having lots of fun chatting with old
friends, making new ones, and caching, of course!!
Come on by ...
what better way to spend a Saturday ... in the
park.
