The terrain rating here can vary and depends if you take the FSR or Lower Black Powder.. We took the hard way - which then I'd give it a 5, but on the way out the easy way which was at most a 2.5.. so I settled on 3.5
This area has way too few caches in it and really needs more for those that camp here, explore here, wheel here, ski here - and more cachers need to come stay here.
The lake is beautiful, can't drive a civic to where we stayed, but there are plenty of beautiful camping areas you could up here.
Cache is in an Ammo Can under very large geo sticks. Enjoy - We do not reccomend driving the road continuing from here called "Upper Black Powder" - unless you are an experienced driver and ok with a bit of sheet metal damage - if you want the cache - walk it or chance it..
