Geocache Description:

Be very careful pulling over and looking for this cache because it is located on a busy road. You are looking for a camo'd matchstick container.

So as the story goes...
It is 7pm on the Friday night of Memorial Day weekend 2010. We had decided to stay close to home, get a few things done around the house, and see a few friends on Saturday and Sunday.
Wife: "Honey, Bert's on the phone."
Ernie: "What's up?"
Bert: "How spontaneous are you, Ernie?”
Ernie: “Why, what do you have in mind?”
Bert: “How fast can you get your camper to the Dells?”
Ernie: “Uh, we’re in the middle of pressure washing the deck (pretty exciting huh?)
Bert: “Oh, I thought you were much more spontaneous than that?”
Well the line had been drawn in the sand and within the next half hour we had food, clothes, the dog and the family in the truck, picked up the camper and we were on our way to the Dells for a long weekend. We made the trip in record time, the last few miles on fumes. We set up in the dark, joined friends around the fire, and had a great night. The next morning Bert and I decided to head back down the road to fill up the tank. We barely made out of the campground before the truck started cutting out.
Ernie: “No, it couldn’t be!”
Bert: “What?”
Ernie: “I think we are out of gas.”
Bert: “Really?”
We did what any man would do, we called the wives and politely asked them to bring the gas can. We waited a few minutes, and the inside of the truck started getting hot. We rolled down the windows, but didn’t get any relief. Next we pushed the truck into the only shade in the area. (you can’t say we aren’t resourceful!) After waiting patiently for what seemed like hours, but in reality was only 30 minutes, the ladies showed up with the gas can, laughing that we could have very easily walked back ourselves to get gas instead of waiting so long. Apparently the campground was only a quarter of a mile away! Now, whenever we drive by this guard rail, we think of the time we spent here, and it only seemed fitting that we place a cache to commemorate that day.
