Geocache Description:

If you approach using the SGL fire road (the most challenging but most fun) you gain 650 feet in elevation and must use the knotted rope for final approach.

Original name was NORWAL #3. I must warn you that if there is snow, ice or very wet conditions this could be a risky cache. For the most fun I would suggest approaching using the SGL fire lane from the parking area. If the conditions are real bad you can follow the stream bed but you will have to cross it many times. When you are within 50 feet of the cache you will definately find either water, snow and/or ice. Because of the heavy tree cover and cliffs GPS reception could be spotty. My youngest daughter and I found this place several years ago and we both agree that it is beautiful in the summer. I can not wait until we have a prolonged period of very cold weather so that I can visit and view the ice formations. Code:
