log6just: Elämässä tapahtuneiden muutosten takia Inarin suuntaan tapahtuneet säännölliset vierailut ovat nyt hyvin valitettavasti päättyneet. Yritin etsiä kätkölle adoptiovanhempaa, mutta niitä ei löytynyt. Näin ollen, arkistoidaampa tämä purkki, yhdessä Suomen kauneimmassa paikassa.

Due to the changes in personal life, I am very unfortunately no longer able to visit beautiful Inari regularly. I was trying to give the cache for adoption, without success. Therefore this cache on one of the most spectacular places in Finland is being archived.

Perus pikkupurkki Otsamotunturin laella. Kätkö on piilotettu Otsamon päivätuvan välittömään läheisyyteen.
Kiipeäminen Otsamolle tarjoaa hyvän hikilenkin ja Otsamolta on henkeäsalpaavat maisemat Lemmenjoen kansallispuiston ja Inarinjärven suuntaan.

Traditional cache on top of the Otsamo fell. Cache is hidden at the Otsamo day hut or it's imminent proximity.

Otsamo offers a nice hike and breathtaking views to Lemmenjoki national park and Lake Inari directions.

Otsamolle pääsee kolmea merkittyä reittiä pitkin:
Riutula - Otsamo 10km
Inari - Otsamo 9km
Rovajärvi - Otsamo 3km

Tässä ohjeet Rovajärven parkkipaikalta:
Reitin lähtöpiste sijaitsee Rovajärven pysäköintialueella, noin 15 km:n päässä Inarista. Rovajärvelle päästäkseen on ensin ajettava Inarista noin 2 km pohjoiseen nelostietä (E75) pitkin, ja sen jälkeen käännytään Angelintielle (nro 9553). Angelintietä ajetaan noin 3 km, kunnes käännytään Rovajärvelle johtavalle soratielle. Soratietä ajetaan noin 9 km. Otsamo-reitin alkuosa kulkee mäntymetsässä ja ylittää pieniä soita. Viimeisen kilometrin aikana noustaan jyrkähkö rinne tunturikoivikossa, josta päädytään paljakalle ja tunturin laelle. Tunturin huipun jokaiseen ilmansuuntaan näyttäytyvät maisemat palkitsevat nousun vaivan. Takaisin palataan samaa reittiä pitkin, jolloin koko matkan pituudeksi tulee 6 km. Matkaa voi jatkaa myös Inarin kirkonkylälle (9 km) tai Riutulaan (10 km)

Here's the instructions how to get to Rovaniemi parking lot:

Rovajärvi - Otsamo Trail, 3 km.The starting point of the trail is at Rovajärvi parking area about 15 km from Inari. To get to Rovajärvi by car you must first take main road 4 (E 75) and drive 2 km north of Inari at which point you must turn onto Angelintie (road 9553). Follow this road for 3 km and then turn onto a gravel road leading to Lake Rovajärvi and follow it for about 9 km. The beginning of the trail leads through pine forest and crosses small mires. The last kilometre of the trail is a steep climb up through fell birch forest. The slope ends on an open fell top. The view in all directions from the top is astoundingly beautiful and makes the climb well worth it. The return journey is along the same trail making the hike 6 km in its entirety. Hikers can also continue their treks to the centre of Inari (9 km) or to Riutala (10 km).
