The Wizard welcomes you to the Land of OC! Come and journey along this mystical, enchanted trail through the glades of Oconto County. Revisit Dorothy and Toto and some of the other endearing characters of your childhood. Most of the caches in this series are easy to moderate in difficulty and the terrain is level. Do beware though. There are challenges ahead. If you remember the story line, there is at least one “evil monkey.” But a great reward awaits you at the end where the Wizard’s treasure is to be found.
Your path will lead you down a “rails to trails” adventure that is open to hiking, biking, horseback riding, and snowmobiling. Please map it out and note that it is NOT a loop. Plan accordingly. Remember to bring water and insect repellent during the summer season. Use discretion during the deer gun season.
The Wizard hopes that you enjoy some of the unique and interesting caches that have been laid out for you. Every attempt has been made to make them winter friendly. Have a safe and wonderful journey.
The cache is not at the listed coordinates, so don’t go diving for it in the river. And don’t get all hot and bothered and ruby red in the face either. The coordinates can be found in another of the Wizard’s caches. Clues have been supplied as to which one. The Wizard hopes you don’t slip up because the great and powerful Wizard has left an ammo box chock full of treasure for the youngsters. The terrain is a little steep at GZ so you might want to leave the little ones on the trail while retrieving the cache. Remember to replace the cache exactly where you found it and hide it better than you found it.
