Ivanhoe - an Iowa ghost town and for a good reason. The island where the cache is located, just above the Ivanhoe bridge, seems to be a staging area for all the unfortunate soles that fall victim to the treacherous currents of the Cedar River. Through the years several bodies have been recovered in this area, so hunt this cache at your own risk.
This hide was placed primarily for kayak cachers that float from the Palisades dam to the South Cedar boat ramp, a distance of about 4 miles. Palisades boat ramp is located N41.54.085 - W091.29.960, South Cedar boat ramp is located N41.52.647 - W091.26.608
