Geocache Description:

This was going to be a nice normal cache in the middle of the Chicopee Woods Nature Preserve near Gainesville to make up for all the devious ones I've put out lately.....

That was the plan, but I was kind of hurried placing it before the monthly GGA meeting, so the coordinate accuracy isn't up to my normal high standards. More on that later.

This is your basic ammo can, with some neat stuff in it for my geocaching friends to make up for the past toughies. There's a nice book on cats for Goss, a pretty good lensatic compass as a spare for b_t, and some other fine trinkets. Whoever gets there first of course gets first pick. But that brings me to the problem with the coords and the name of the cache. "HI EPE" or High Estimated Position Error. As I said I was in a rush to place the cache before the meeting, and I didn't realize how far off the coords were 'till I sat down to enter this and looked at my GPS for the coords and saw the high EPE. Yikes!

Now I know I didn't transpose the latitude and longitude, but I suspect what happened is that the Mighty Mouse 2 remote GPS antenna was upside down in my hat. That's the only reason I can come up with for these coords being off as much as they are. They are off so much that you couldn't make them off any more if you tried.

I hope that at least some of you are determined enough to find the cache despite the little coordinate problem, if you succeed please don't post the corrected coords you get. You wouldn't want to make it any easier for the next person do you?

I really do want to help you to make up for the poor coords. Here's a nice map of the area. I hiked 2.3 miles round trip to place this cache but your mileage may vary. I'll also give you a nice encrypted hint if you need it, but I suspect that the upside down GPS antenna radiating into my brain may have reversed that too.
So sorry...

NO BUGS - don't put travelers in this cache please, as they can't cope with the distances involved ;)

Note: This cache location has been graciously approved by the Chicopee Woods Nature Preserve. As the Preserve has limited the number and the location of geocaches please do not place your own cache here without first contacting me for further details. Thanks.
