Geocache Description:


As the name suggests this is the last in the Kalang Kaleidoscope series of mystery caches. The word "kaleidoscope" can mean an experience that keeps changing and which has different aspects; this is true for these caches. The series could have been named Kalang Conundrums or Kalang Challenges. A possibility might be Kalang Confusions but please do not think of Kalang Curses, Calamities or Catastrophes.

The caches have been hidden close to well defined tracks in the bush adjacent to Kalang Avenue and will not require much physical effort to visit them. However you will need a bit of mental agility to solve the puzzles. Each of the six puzzles (KK 01 to KK 06) uses a different method of encryption and/or obfuscation. Although hints are supplied they are rather cryptic. To solve all six may take some time and perseverance.

Each of the earlier caches (links below) contains information that will be needed to solve this, the final puzzle cache in the series. These earlier caches reveal the values of eight three-digit integers (labelled A - H, J - M) that are to be used as follows:

  • X = A - C - E + G - J + L
  • Y = B - D + F - H - K + M
