Geocache Description:

A basic hide-and-seek cache. No puzzles. No riddles. But, on the other hand, no other information will be provided except the coordinates and the (somewhat obligatory) 1-to-5 star ratings.

A MODEST DEDICATION

To begin with, this GPS-adventure was created to honor a dozen or so very special people whom I have come to know, respect and admire in the 10 months that I've been involved with this sport. There is no need to mention any names ... you all know who you are. Along with many other fine personal qualities, your sense for adventure, your self-reliance, your drive and determination, your willingness to embrace defeat gracefully and to accept victory with a touch of humility epitomize what I feel is the very essence of Geocaching. So, it is with great pleasure that I wish to dedicate this Geocache to all of you. Cheers!

I started this cache with just a spot on a map that appeared to warrant further investigation. As it turns out, the area and its surroundings are quite impressive, and depending upon your chosen route there are brief glimpses of striking distant scenes. There is abundant wildlife, too. From the summit the view north of Chapman Lake is best observed in late Fall, Winter and early Spring..

This cache, along with my Cary Mountain cache, are on PA State Gamelands. I suggest that you take the ratings with a grain of salt since they are purely subjective.

There are some very good items to trade for in this cache. There are no McToys! Note also that I have included a very special prize for the "First Finder," who may keep it in addition to any other item traded for. As is customary, take something from the cache, leave an appropriate item in its place, and record your visit in the logbook along with any comments, suggestions or complaints. Place the cache back in its hiding place just as you found it. Kindly pack out any trash, and most of all ... please be considerate.

NOTE: Container is now a .30 caliber ammo box. (July 2004)

Winter Cachers: Locating this cache with heavy snow cover could be very difficult. If found, please try to erase, camouflage or otherwise confuse your tracks in the snow in order to maintain some level of difficulty for future Geocachers.

Good luck and good hunting, fellow Geocachers ...

~Rich in NEPA~
