C is for Cache Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

sandlanders: Checked on the location today and found no container in the hiding spot or on the ground nearby. Searched a ways out from the geobeacon while dodging the irrigation spray, but no luck. This hide has spent most winters under huge piles of snow and has gotten mowed in the summer and gnawed on by a wee mousie. Can't remember how many containers we have put here over the years. Time to let this one go.

Thanks to all who visited.

Geocache Description:

This cache is one of a pair of standard geocaches. You are looking for a camo-covered pill bottle.

At the cache location, you can look south on County Road G to its intersection with County Road C. Highway C runs west to east all the way from Highway Z in Monroe Center (not far from Petenwell Lake) to Highway 73 just west of Wautoma. At its intersection with Highway 13 near Big Flats, there is still evidence of the 1994 tornado that struck there. Also near Big Flats, but farther east on the highway, there is still evidence of the 2005 Cottonville fire that started a few miles south of Highway C. In Adams County Highway C travels through pine plantations and large irrigated vegetable fields.

On the northeast corner of the intersection of G and C is the Colburn Town Hall. You may park there and walk to this cache and its companion cache. If you choose to park roadside for the caches, pull off far enough at each location, and use care in your searches.
