THIS GEOCACHE IS LOCATED AT GIVEN COORDINATES
This geocache challenge was put together for two reasons.
The first is to bring cachers who haven't cached extensively in Fulton County to the area to visit our some of our oldest active caches.
The second is to rekindle memories of area cachers of these pioneer caches, and to give them a reason to revisit the area.
This is in honor of those Fulton County caches that are 5 calendar years old or more.
The first cache in Fulton County (seen above) was "Toad Shade Cache" GC2FB1. It was placed by Chuck Fakelman "CCCHAZ" in Goll Woods 2/17/2002. The cache survived only about a year, and only 11 finds.
This old-timer passed away a long time ago
This cache is located in a parking lot of the Goll Woods Nature Preserve.
Permission and recommended location is from the Northwest Ohio Preserve Manager as a safe location that will not affect any of the wildlife or natural beauty of the area.
It is also as close as we could get to Fulton County's first geocache, at .12 miles.
To qualify for this cache, you need to have found at least 10 active geocaches in Fulton County published 2007 or earlier. You can post a bookmark list with your find dates edited in. Or you may include the list with find dates as a note on the cache page, or as part of your find log.
Or use this link for verification:
