Geocache Description:

Located across from the 55KM marker on the GG. When our kids were young and easily manipulated we would bribe them with goodies and make them ride to this spot on their bikes. We would pass the old foundation and wonder what it was and make our way down to the beach to bake in the sun and eat half melted chocolate bars.

The cache is located under the foundation of an old house. There are old rock-lined gardens, a chimney and pillars of some sort. This was the house where the superintentent of the Cameron Lumber Company Sawmill lived. It burned down in late 1940's or early 1950's. I like to imagine a woman lived there baking her hot cross buns or a chicken dinner and reminding the kids about the roaring river and the nearby railway. And of course bribing them to go hiking in the hills with her...
