With all the new changes in GSAK I felt it was time to have another
learning day on what many consider the most useful tool in the
world of geocaching right behind the GPSr. GSAK is now in version 8
and has had many small tweeks and updates since it’s release.
As with the GSAK 101 event I did in 2010 this is not a meet and
greet type of event. There will be no pot luck supper. No trackable
swapping. No social hour. This is for cachers who want to learn
about GSAK. We will be covering some of the basics for the first
part of the class. Which for some will be more of a refresher
class, and for others an introduction. Later will will cover some
of the new advance features such as how to use many of the api
offerings linking your GSAK directly to Geocaching.com. A premium
membership on GC.com is not required to use GSAK, but is required
to use some of the features. If you have a laptop computer you may
bring it. If not then bring a pad and pencil to make your own
notes. There will be some handouts as well. Mr. Glonch of Glonch's
Pride has graciously agreed to teach the bulk of this seminar. The
seminar will run from 12PM to around 3PM. Please try to be as on
time as you can. Remember to have a lunch before you come as this
is not a “food” event. Please, PLEASE, post a will
attend so I can set the room up for the planned group. See you
