Welcome to Weston ~ USA Multi-cache

This cache has been archived.

Wis Kid: As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

Geocache Description:

I dedicate this cache "Welcome to Weston ~ USA" to my younger sister Laura, her husband Philippe and my beautiful niece Gabrielle (aka "Les Blonds) who just moved here to Weston all the way from Paris, France.

The long-awaited BICYCLE AND PEDESTRIAN BRIDGE OVER STATE HWY 29 AT BIRCH STREET is now open!

This project was 2/3 funded with federal gas tax. The Village received $1.32 million of federal and state funding for the $1.9 million dollar construction contract.
Now completed, the bridge provides a safe link for non-motorized traffic in the center of the Village between the residential neighborhoods on the South side of Highway 29 and shopping, parks and schools on the North side of Highway 29.
Many bicyclists/walkers requested this bridge. They realized, like the WI Department of Transportation, that trying to cross Hwy 29 on Camp Phillips was unsafe.
There were wetland issues at Alderson Street, so that is why the bridge is located at Birch Street.
In 2012, the Village will add an additional 4 miles of bike paths on Birch Street, Weston Avenue, Alderson Street, and Howland Avenue to link with the new bridge.

The Village will be conducting a grand opening ceremony for the bridge during National Bike and Walk to Work Week in May 2012!

Parking is available in Ministry-St Clare's Hospital's Parking lot at:
N44 53.453
W089 34.926

You will need to find the answers for the following coordinates in order to find what you came to seek:
N44 53.ABC
W089 34.DEF

Make the short walk to the Posted coordinates where you will retrieve the clues for C D F.
From there, head North and locate the Plaque at the South/East corner of the bridge.
There, you will get your answers to A B E.

A = Number of letters in the first two words on the plaque

B = Number of letters in the last word of the 2nd row divided by last digit of serial #

C = Locate GREEN sticker - Number of that letter in the alphabet

D = Number of letters in the 2nd word in the sign

E = Total of all digits of the year the bridge was built/2

F = (Lowest fine fee -1)/6

This bridge offers lighting after dusk until late but I'm unsure if lighting is available all night long!

This is not a difficult "Multi" and the clues at stage 1 are easy to figure out. After that, it could be a bit of a challenge for some and not for others!

You might need to be stealthy when retrieving this cache depending on the pedestrian traffic on the bridge on that day! Please replace cache exactly as you found it so others will get the enjoyment of discovering the cache as I placed it originally. Thank you!

BYOP and tweezers!

As always, have fun and BONNE CHANCE!!!

A big "THANK YOU" to my brother-in-law Philippe for his help replacing this entire multi-cache from its original location due to a neighborly cache by "Cachenotrace". Thanks a lot David
