Rogaine: Looking for a series of controls on foot using a map and compass within a set time.
GEOGAINE: Looking for a series of hidden containers on foot using a GPS within a set time.

It's on again! This will be the third GEOGAINE held in South Australia in conjunction with the South Australian Rogaining Association. The first two GEOGAINES were a great success and we have been asked to get involved again.

In the pleasant surrounds of Colonel Light Gardens in the leafy South Eastern suburbs of Adelaide your task will be to find as many temporary geocaches in 3 hours on foot as possible while trying for the highest possible score. Think of the June long weekend events but without the cars. There will be 16 geocaches hidden within an easy walk of the starting location which is called the Hash House. With four caches of four difficulty levels from Very Easy to Hard to get you started, each of these initial geocaches will contain the coordinates to a further 3 geocaches of that difficulty.

Each of the sixteen small camouflaged geocaches (no micros) will have a point value from 10 to 90 points depending on the difficulty of the hide.

This event is a competition and entry is via the SA Rogaining website.

Here is the entry form that needs to be filled out and sent to SA Rogaine Assoc. for this event.
ENTRY FORM IMPORTANT!!!

YOU DO NEED TO ENTER AND PAY ON THEIR SITE so the correct number of clue sheets, maps and food can be prepared.

Please also note that this event starts at 5:30 pm. Aim to get to the event an hour before the start to allow time to register, get your gear sorted so that you are ready to hit the road at 5:30.
