Geocache Description:

Come with us and take a step back in time some 10,000-75,000 years, and learn about the Ice Age in Wisconsin.

This is a new type of virtual geocache. The goal of this cache is to have geocachers log hikes on every segment of the 600+ mile long Wisconsin Ice Age Trail System.

To log a segment, post the coordinates of your starting and ending locations and at least one picture of you or your group next to an Ice Age Trail sign. To make it easier to map logged segments, please try to start and end your hike at trail / road intersections. Also, feel free to share any and all pictures that you take on your hike.

I have developed an online map and hike log list to display all the segments that have or have not been hiked. If a segment has been hiked and logged already, feel free to re-log your visit because the view from the trail is always changing. Click here to view the Ice Age Trail Map and Hike Logs

For more information on the Ice Age Trail System and to find a segment near you, visit the Ice Age Trail Website. For maps, visit the WDNR Ice Age Trail Map Buffet.

The coordinates listed above are for a parking area along the Ice Age Trail in Central Wisconsin. Feel free to start your Ice Age Trail adventure anywhere along the trail in Wisconsin.
