ONE HARD PILL TO SWALLOW

THIS CACHE IS PLACED WITH THE OWNERS PERMISSION.
CAUTION WHEN DEALING WITH THE TREES BRANCHES SHOULD BE USED. DO NOT PARK ON SHERIDAN RD. OFF STREET PARKING IS AVAILABLE AT N42.31.805 W90.40.279 (THERE'S LOTS OF IT)

Why is the cache called OUTTA PILLS? Look up at the big building up on the left from your car. It's the former Xavier Hospital, established by the Sisters of Saint Frances Xavier in 1947. It along with Finley and Mercy served Dubuque for many years. For a few years prior to about 1988 it was actually part of Mercy. A decision was made that it was no longer a viable hospital, and therefore was OUTTA PILL business, and all other medical treatments. A business man bought the building and converted it into apartments. It still serves as that function today.
