Geocache Description:

2012 Indiana Geocaching Fall Picnic
Meet & Greet

September 7, 2012
Lieber State Recreation Area - Hilltop Shelter

Event begins at 7:00pm
Night Cache begins at 8:30pm

Fall Picnic weekend kicks off with Friday evening Meet and Greet. Join us at Hilltop Shelter, enjoy the Chili Dump and participate in the Night Cache, organized by members of the Planning Team.  And if you're musically inclined, we invite you to bring along your instrument(s) (this will not be a stage-type performance, but more like an "around the campfire" jam... without the campfire).

REGISTRATION: REGISTRATION is requested.  Information is needed to determine food quantities and creation of your name tag.

CHILI DUMP:  This event is a PITCH-IN chili dump!  Bring a quart-size bag of your favorite chili.  We ask that you bring home-made... NOT canned!  And preferably warmed, but definitely NOT FROZEN!!  Please note, if you bring frozen chili, it will be handed back.

It would also be helpful if a few folks would like to bring side items like cheese, sour cream, diced onions, etc.  The Committee will provide bowls, plasticware and napkins; and will also provide the vessel to keep the chili warm (please do not bring chili in crock pots -- all chilis will be blended together in a large vessel).

We will have smaller pots available for vegetarian and "white" chili options, in case folks would like to bring these varieties.

NIGHT CACHE: The Night Cache will begin at 8:30pm. So put on your trekking shoes and bring along a flashlight to join in on the fun.

LODGING:  Local hotels are available in the nearby towns of Cloverdale and Brazil.  Leiber State Rec Area also has beautiful campgrounds.  Camping reservations can be made at the IN.gov Reservations website.  If you are camping, post your site number on the Geocaching Midwest Forums Fall Picnic post.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:  For more detailed information about Fall Picnic weekend, check out the Fall Picnic website.

We are looking forward to a fun filled weekend. Can’t wait to see you there.
