Polž je simbol Višnje Gore in ta multizaklad vas bo popeljal mimo nekaterih najznamenitejših višnjanskih polžev. Pot ni zahtevna, primerna je tudi za otroke, ki jim je ta multizaklad tudi v prvi vrsti namenjen.
Celotno pot je mogoče prehoditi tudi z otroškimi vozički ali prekolesariti, le na točki 5 vas čaka nekaj stopnic, na končni lokaciji pa bo potrebno iti nekaj metrov s ceste peš. Točke lahko obiščete v kateremkoli zaporedju, zaklad pa se nahaja na koordinatah N 45˚ 5A.BCD E 014˚ 4E.FGH.
Končna lokacija se nahaja približno 10 minut peš od starega mestnega jedra Višnje Gore, za celotno pot pa tudi z majhnimi otroci ne bi smeli porabiti več kot eno uro.
Legenda o višnjanskem polžu:
Simbol Višnje Gore je polž, priklenjen na zlato verigo. Po legendi je bil v bitki pri Sisku ranjen sin žene Beneškega doža. Viteza je na potovanju našla hči višnjegorskega grofa - Sofija Višnjegorska, ki se je odločila da bo za viteza skrbela. Vsi so bili prepričani, da bo vitez umrl, vendar je po dolgem okrevanju preživel. Višnjegorski grof je poslal po kraljico Beneške republike, ki je že dolgo mislila, da je njen sin mrtev. V zahvalo je višnjegorskim grofom podarila pozlačeno polžjo hišico v premeru okrog 10-15 centimetrov, okrašeno z diamanti. Polžjo hišico so višnjegorski grofje podarili mestu. Nekaj časa so jo hranili v mestni hiši, kasneje pa se je izgubila.
Točka 1 : VRTEC
Nahajate se pred vrtcem "Polžek" v Višnji Gori. Na fasadi so na žalost prebarvali polža, ki ga vidite na sliki 1.

Točka 2: Železniška postaja
Na železniški postaji vas pričaka vodnjak s polžem. Na žalost voda iz njega že dolgo ne teče več.

Točka 3 : Velikan
Sredi križišča stoji največji in najnovejši polž v Višnji Gori. Priporočam, da ga obiščete kdaj tudi ponoči, ko se na njem menjajo različne barve svetlobe.

Točka 4: Gostilna
Na fasadi nad vhodom v gostilno je priklenjen še en polž. Pred drugo svetovno vojno je bilo v Višnji Gori sedem gostiln, danes se lahko s kakšno sladico okrepčate le v hiši kranjske čebele in občasno na Mestnem kopališču Višnja Gora.

Točka 5: Mala vrata
Nahajate se na mestu, kjer so včasih bila "Mala vrata" - stranski vhod v obzidje, ki je obdajalo stari del naselja Višnja Gora. Ob vrhu stopnic je priklenjen polž zlate barve.

Točka 6: cerkev sv. Ane
Pred cerkvijo sv. Ane stoji na kamnitem podstavku skulptura polža, delo akademskega kiparja Primoža Puglja. Na podstavku si lahko v štirih jezikih preberete legendo o višnjanskem polžu.

Točka 7: Grb
Kot se spodobi, je polž tudi v grbu Višnje Gore. Stojite na sredini grba Višnje Gore (ta sicer nima polža) v starem delu naselja, nekaj metrov južno od vas pa stoji Valvasorjev vodnjak.

For the whole way you should need about 30 minutes. All intermediate stages are accesable by bicycle, but to reach the final location you will have to walk for a few meters. Most of the locations are in the centre of Višnja Gora, just a couple of meters one from another. To reach the final location you will have to walk for about 10 minutes, it is placed outside the settlement. At the final location you have to be more careful, especially with children.
The legend of the Višnja Gora snail:
The snail representing a local legend was added later. The citizens of the town were given a golden snail shell for nursing Venetian doge's son wounded in the Battle of Sisak (1593) by his relatives. Since then, the golden shell was lost, but the legend remained.
Point 1: Kindergarden
You are in front of the Višnja Gora kindergarden named "Polžek". There was a painting of a snail on the kindergarden wall (see picture 1), but sadly it was repainted.

Point 2: Railway Station
There is a fountain with a snail at the station, unfortunatly the fountain is without water for a long time now.

Point 3: The Giant
There is the biggest and the newest snail in the middle of the intersection. I reccomend a night visit, because there are lights changing colors at that snail.

Point 4: Restaurant
There is another snail chained above the entrance. Before the second World War there were seven restaurants in Višnja Gora. Today all of them are closed, you can only get refreshment and snack at swimming pool Višnja Gora.

Point 5: The Small Door
This is the place where the side entrance into City Wall was, that is why it is called the Small Door. At the top of the stairs there is a golden snail.

Point 6: St. Ann's Church
In front of St. Ann's Church there is a statue of snail made by academic sculptor Primož Pugelj. You can also read The Legend of the Višnja Gora Snail in four languages.

Point 7: Coat of Arms
The snail is also placed in the Coat of Arms of Višnja Gora. You are standing in the middle of the Coat of Arms (this one without the snail) in the old town centre. A couple of meters to the south there is a J.V.Valvasor fountain.
