Geocache Description:

Cache container is a lock and lock container painted to blend.

Edwin James Wilson and his wife, Hannah Roe, grew up near the west edge of the park. Parents of five children, they farmed for a while in the Dakotas then returned to Wisconsin in 1911 when they purchased 220 acres. They grew crops in the area that is now Cox Hollow Campground. The stone foundation of their barn, the cement watering trough, and sidewalk are partially visible through the brush at the homestead site.

The Geocache Notification Form has been submitted to Kathleen Gruentzel of the Wisconsin DNR. Geocaches placed on Wisconsin Department of Natural Resource managed lands require permission by means of a notification form.
