While I feel that Geocaching.com should hold the location for the cache owner and block other cachers from placing a cache in the area around this cache for a reasonable amount of time, we can’t do so forever.

Nothing seems to happen with this cache listing, so it is now archived, so that someone else can place a cache in the area, and geocachers can once again enjoy visiting this location. Also, if it hasn’t been done already, please pick up any remaining cache bits as soon as possible.

If the owner wants it reopened, send me an e-mail and I’ll be happy to unarchive the cache listing if it still satisfies the requirement/guidelines.

Geocache Description:

Denne cachen er lokalisert på en liten luftlomme midt mellom boliggatene på Rognheim. Nærmere bestemt mellom Skjermvegen og Nordre Hallset veg. Området er veldig fint og bærer preg fra fortida.

Det fins flere gamle bunkerser i dette området som stammer fra krigen. Bunkersene tilhørte militærbasen Munkvoll Leir og ble brukt som lagerplass for torpedoer. Det er også noen forfalne, gamle skotthyllbaner som dessverre er alt for nedslitte til at de kan benyttes. Noe som derimot ikke er i ruiner er fotballbanen som på vinterstid benyttes som skøytebane. Mange barn og unge bruker dette området daglig til lek.

[ENG: This cahce is located in a small park in Rognheim. It is a nice place, which shows pieces from the past. There are old bomb shelters from the world war that were used as storage for torpedos. The park also has pieces from an old game called "skotthyll" and a football court. In wintertime the court is changed into a skating rink. Children use this park daily for playing games and sports.]
