How Geocaching Works
Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer
Park off Ford Road and take a little over a quarter mile hike in the woods for this one.
You are looking for a camo painted ammo case just off a primitive trail.
Some bushwhacking required.
This remote trail area will get very overgrown by mid summer and it's a mosquito feeding ground. Although it's available year round, Spring, Fall and Winter should be prime times to go after this one.
As always, in rural wooded areas, be mindful of the hunting seasons.
Although this looks grotesque and drastic
Don't be alarmed, it's only plastic.
A "Footloose" Cache might make you gag,
but pull the top, it's filled with swag
Remember as you sign the book,
2 rules of safety: THINK and LOOK
where you are going with your feet,
so you won't fall. Now please repeat:
"I will be careful where I tread
and focus on the path ahead
avoiding foxholes, sitcks and stones
to save myself from broken bones."
Sometimes we can best serve others by being an example of what NOT to do.
This cache commemorates a geocaching accident that could have been avoided if only I had been looking where I was walking.
Please be careful as you play. Alway tell someone where you are going and carry your phone. Above all, watch your step.
This cache was a gift from fellow geocachers and good friends, heiple and SEAM.
