Nice hike on mowed trail in Tri-County School Forest. Looking for a lock and lock container with logbook and some small trade items. A gold dollar is for the FTF.
Park in the main lot off Cty O at N44 09.315 W089 29 .865. This will either be the first or the last cache depending on which way you go here. There is a main road that leads to the shelter house, bathrooms, amphitheater, lisa's prarie, the observation tower and many other teaching stations and comes back around to the lake view trail or you can go the other way. All the caches are on the same loop although there are many connecting trails. Trail maps are available at the entrance along with other pamphlets on the many things going on here. This is a teaching facility and many class hours are spent here in spring and fall. If classes are present you may want to come another day. Hunting is allowed so wear orange if you are coming during season. Permission to place was given by Anthony Marinack Superintendent of Tri-County Schools. Wood ticks are prevalent here so wear repellant. There are bathrooms at the shelter house if they are not locked. There is also a porta-potty at the observation tower which is about half way. Figure about a 2 mile hike if you do the whole loop. Congratulations to Mrs Sandlanders and Birdin on the FTF on this one. Guess they will sharing it on this series. Glad you enjoyed the trip.
