This cache is placed in one of my favorite places in Illinois, the Rochelle Railroad Park.
THIS CACHE IS NOT PLACED ANYWHERE CLOSE TO THE TRAIN TRACKS! IT IS NOT NECESSARY TO GO ANYWHERE NEAR RAILROAD PROPERTY. THIS CACHE IS ON PUBLIC PROPERTY. This cache was placed with permission from the Rochelle Tourism and Visitor's Association.
This cache is placed in one of my favorite places in Illinois, the Rochelle Railroad Park. This park was established as a safe place for railroad enthusiasts to watch trains. Over 100 trains pass through this park on a daily basis. The Burlington Northern Santa Fe and Union Pacific Railroads both run trains from Chicago to the West Coast in this location. The park features old train vehicles on display, a gift shop, a covered pavilion with a scanner to listen to train traffic, a hobo jungle, and a fire pit. The covered pavilion offers a bird's eye view of the train action.
You are looking for a small to medium tupperware container. The container is large enough for small tradable items as well as travel bugs. It is my intention to place several railroad themed travel bugs here each time I visit the park. Stealth will be needed, as this park is frequently visited by muggles. The park is open 24/7, so it may be easier to find at night when the park is not as busy.
