I decided this area needed another cache. And with having an event (4-22-12) at the park made it easy. You will have a nice walk through the woods to get to this one. You will be walking down Old Horse Trail in S.B. Elliott State Park. There are 2 ways in. The easiest and shortest way in is at N 41 06.412 W078 31.706. This way is only a half mile round trip. You can start at N 41 06.819 W078 31.657. This trail head is right next to the campground and it is also the longest way in, at almost .75 mile round trip. It is also the tougher part of the trail with lots of swampy areas and rocks.
The trail is well marked though no matter what way you go in. Just follow the blue blazes and/or blue ribbons. I have walked the whole trail and marked it with the blue ribbons to help you stay on the trail.
**PLEASE DO NOT TRY TO BUSHWHACK TO THE CACHE** You will find it a difficult and none too easy terrain. Stay on the trail until you get within 50 - 80 feet of the cache. You do not have to tear the area up to find this cache, as it should be very easy to find.
Mind you, you may get wet feet in some spots especially after a good rain. Also, during hunting season, please wear orange since this is a hunted area.
