Geocache Description:

This series, AD-America’s Dairyland, is a tribute to the dairy products produced in our state. Wisconsin’s dairy industry began long ago, before Wisconsin was a state. Dairy products account for over 1/2 of Wisconsin's total agricultural receipts earning the state the #2 position in the nation, behind California, for the production of dairy products.

Custard is a product that is fairly unique to Wisconsin. Custard differs from ice cream in that it contains at least 1.4% pasteurized egg yolk, has a lower air content than ice cream and is served fresh (generally not frozen) at a slightly higher temperature than ice cream. Frozen custard is also known as French ice cream or French custard ice cream. Frozen custard must contain at least 10% milkfat.

Wisconsin is considered to be the unofficial frozen custard capital of the world, with some of our most popular custard stands dating back to the 1940s.

You are searching for a container placed in honor of Wisconsin frozen custard.

Please enter from Woods Rd. and Bay Lane Dr. and follow parking regulations. Do not enter from private property in the neighboring subdivisions or from school property. Do not park at businesses or Wisconsin Energies property. The cache is located along the hiking trail. As always, treat the trails with respect. Please use great stealth as this can be a very high traffic area. Dogs on a leash are permitted, but please clean up after them. Placement of this cache was approved by Craig Anderson, City of Muskego Park and Recreation Department. Thanks! Congratulations to Hugh Foundit on FTF!!
