Geocache Description:

This is another cache in the Albany Wildlife and hunting area. The old Crotch Notch (GCJWBG) was located very close to this spot and then archived in 2005. Thought it would be nice to bring it back.

Albany Wildlife Area is a 1532 acre property located just west of Albany in Green County. The area includes 282 acres of land leased for public hunting. Much of the area is wooded and follows the little Sugar River west towards Monticello. There is about 310 acres of planted or maintained native grass on the area. There are 110 acres of cropland planted to corn, soybeans, sunflowers and hay for wildlife. Much of the land along the river is marsh with canary grass, cattails and sedges

This is another cache in the Albany Wildlife and hunting area. Nice area to explore on the west side of Albany Lake. Some bushwhacking is involved but not too bad.

This cache is located on Public hunting grounds so during hunting season expect hunters to be out & remember its always safest to wear blaze orange! Click here for WI hunting season schedule!!

Wisconsin DNR form 2500-118 has been filed and approved by the DNR Land Manager, Mike Foy. All cache sites on state property must be approved by the DNR. Please remember that there is NO driving down the service roads to the cache!!
