One of, if not my favorite, of the smaller climbs in the area, Catamount offers nearly 360 degree views from its bald summit. The mountain was burned twice, once in the late 1870s and again in 1941. Half of the time you are on the trail to the summit you will be on open rock, enjoying the views all around you. This cache was placed while nabbing a FTF from Snowfreak37's "Catamount" cache. For more information on the climb please reference his cache, as he put a lot of work into a very thorough description, or you can check out the related webpage above.
This cache is located slightly before the "chimney" and the point at which the hike becomes very steep, hence the cache's name. If you attempt the mountain, yet get to the rock scramble part and fear it isn't for you, at least you can grab a cache! If you venture on to the next cache and then the summit, please use extreme caution.
Cache is a medium sized loc 'n loc with several kid friendly swag items as well as a FTF prize. Good luck and enjoy the climb!!
