Geocache Description:

Welcome to the Gardens! Please note the entrance gate on First Avenue is always unlocked, but please close it after entering. This cache contains clues A & D for the final, Pinus Resinosa: Monk Gardens Series Final. BYOP and tweezers!

DO NOT search at night. Please restrict your caching to daylight hours in order to preserve the gardens for everyone to enjoy.

This cache is part of the “Monk Gardens Series” located at the Robert W. Monk Gardens in Wausau. The Monk Gardens are Central Wisconsin’s first public botanical gardens. Development of the twenty-acre parcel has been ongoing since it was donated in 2004. The gardens currently have a system of walking trails and are open to the public dawn to dusk in all seasons. Permission for these caches was granted by the Board of Directors. For more information, see their website: (visit link)

Please enjoy the scenery while also protecting it; do not trample sensitive vegetation or damage plants during your search. No cache is more than a couple of steps off of the trails. Please, no bushwacking!

The caches in the series are
Pseudacris Crucifer: Monk Gardens Series (A & D)
Picea Glauca: Monk Gardens Series (B & E)
Malus Ioensis: Monk Gardens Series (C & F)
Pinus Resinosa: Monk Gardens Series Final
