I took off from the Reading Airport at dawn as a passenger in a Cessna 182 headed for Philadelphia. As we gained altitude I dropped a cache out the window and marked where it hit the ground. The morning droned on and after awhile I noticed that the sun had been over my shoulder for a long long time.
After 4 1/2 hours we began to descend... right over 18 and came to rest parked right in the middle of 36. I compared the coordinates of our location with where I'd dropped the cache and found the following to be true. We had gone West 14 degrees. We had gone South 8 degrees. To fine tune the differences I had to subtract 26.533 minutes from my latitude and add 45.692 minutes to my longitude.
