Geocache Description:

The Georgia Geo-Campers will be camping at Magnolia Springs State Park the weekend of March 15th. Some camping geocachers will be arriving on the 14th to take full advantage of all the Geocaching, *other activities and to explore this great park.

We will have our own area to set up camp, (pioneer style camping) in the pioneer camping section. The Pioneer Campground has water but no electrical hookups, so pack your camping supplies according to your needs. "Outhouse-style" restrooms are available.

**NOTICE** Please do NOT make reservations with Magnolia Springs. You WILL need to reserve a camping spot with your "will attend" log. Simply stating, "reserving 1 camp" will get you a spot. Pricing will depend on how many will be camping. We expect the cost to be $10 per night or less.

For those that prefer camping with regular campground amenities, Magnolia Springs has other camping accommodations. Make Reservations now.

Schedule of Activities:
6:PM Bonfire, contest prizes & Geo-Camper's Quiz
7:PM "History Hike in Old Camp Lawton" Lead by Civil War Reenactors*
8:PM S'mores at the bonfire & Jackpot Camper Drawing (bring unactivated trackables to participate)

*History Hike is $3.00 for non-campers; please sign up for hike in your 'Will-Attend' log. Hike is approximately 1/2 mile.

First time camper? Parks will assist you and provide camping gear and supplies at eight of the state parks.

You will need folding chairs, food & beverages, flashlights, guitar, and other nite time gear. If you capture some of the fun, add the pictures with your "attend" log.

Information about us, future camping trips, and 2013 Georgia Geo-Camper's photo album, visit our profile.

There is a $5 gate fee if you don't have a park pass to enter any State Park.

Thanks for your participation and assisting us support our great state parks and historic sites through camping and geocaching.
