Geocache Description:

Humboldt Park, originally known as South Park, was established in 1890 along with four other parks, present-day Lake, Riverside, Mitchell, and Kosciuszko. Funding these parks was an uphill battle. Click link for more history.http://bayviewcompass.com/archives/4229

Permission for this cache was granted by Brian Russart Milwaukee County Parks land manager. Parking is abudant. On days there are games you may have to park and walk a few blocks. Enjoy the history ! As a life long Bay View resident I spent many childhood days fishing in the near by pond , and as a father I still do with my beloved daughter. If you have kids they may want to play on the newly built play ground. While approaching this cach remember to look up so you dont get hit by "flying objects". Enjoy the cache!!!!!!!!!! Cache is a small metal pill container. Only a log sheet is in the container. BYOP (bring your own pen/pencil) Feel free to sanp a picture and post it with your find. Please no cache location pictures. Muggles are everywhere !!!!!! Update: Congradulations ho11ywood885 On The FTF!!!!!!!!!! Please understand the cache was not placed until I woke up this morning and found it was approved. I will not place a cache until it is approved have been told by old wise cachers it can take up to a week for geocaching.com to "ok" a listing.... No worries
