Geocache Description:

A Fun Series of Geocaches along the Nahatlatch Forest Service Road.

Logging opened up this area with the building of The Cog Harrington Bridge over the Fraser River to North Bend.  Before the bridge was built,  the way to cross the Fraser River was by way of an aerial tram.  The Francis Harrington Park in Boston Bar is the final resting place for the aerial tram as well as lots of history of the area.

This cache will bring you to a viewing point of a fairy ring field. Take a moment to look across the road to the field below . . . this is where the fairy ring mushrooms grow.  In the spring and summer the fairy rings are a darker green grass than the rest of the field.  In the fall the rings will be full of 2 inch high mushrooms. This cache will be difficult to find in the winter due to the snowfall in the area
