Geocache Description:

The Wilderness Center Geocaching Club will be hosting its fifth annual fall Geocaching event.
Come enjoy the fall colors and pick up a few or a lot of caches while you are at it!

We will be placing caches along 5 of the 6 hiking trails and the parking lot at the Wilderness Center, so there will be lots of caches for you to find.
NOTE: Due to weather damage the Sigrist Woods Trail is still closed this year.

There will be caches of every size, shape, color imaginable, as well as varying degrees of difficulty.
Trail terrain ratings are typically between 1.5 and 3 (Some trails may have a higher terrain rating due to weather). We will again have caches hidden in and around the parking lot. These caches will have a terrain rating from 1-1.5.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING:
GPS/extra batteries,
Comfortable shoes/hiking boots.
Bug spray
Hiking stick
Remember, dress for the weather  (Boots may be required as some trails can be muddy.)

TECHNICAL:
We will have laptops and operators at the event to load your GPS (IF YOU HAVE A GPS UNIT THAT REQUIRES A SPECIAL CORD, PLEASE BRING IT ALONG). Event cache files (Formats GPX, LOG, CSV) are now available Wilderness Center Geocaching NOTE: Updated coordinate files have been uploaded as of 8:05PM on Wednesday the 17th.

EVENT RULES:
ABSOLUTELY NO FIREARMS, PETS OR ALCOHOL AT THIS EVENT!!!
Last cachers on the trails by 2:00PM, all cachers must be back at the check in location by 5:00PM.
All children under 18 MUST be accompanied by an adult while on the trails.

OTHER INFORMATION:
To help cover expenses of this event we will have the following:
A donation only lunch stand. Between 11:00AM and 1:00PM.
50/50 drawing.
A drawing for a $100 gift card, and two $50 dollar gift cards.
Numerous door prize drawings.

DRAWING RULES :
The drawings will be held the day of the event, between 1:00PM and 1:30PM.
You must be 18 or over to claim all prizes.
All prizes MUST be claimed by 5:00PM the day of the event by the actual winner.
