MARVEL SUPER VILLAINS: DOCTOR DOOM
Here is a series dedicated to the kid in me. All things super hero. To this day I still have my comic book collection, each placed in plastic bags and boxed in my closet. With this summer being the Summer of Super Heroes in the movies, I thought this might be a fun series to put together. PLEASE NOTE: This is an industrial park and can be muggle heavy at times. Weekends would be the easiest time to gather the caches, though anytime would be fine. Parking should not be an issue and the critter factor should be low. I hope you enjoy this series.
Victor von Doom (also known as Doctor Doom) is a fictional character who appears in Marvel Comics publications. Created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, the character first appeared in Fantastic Four #5 (July 1962) wearing his trademark metal mask and green cloak. The son of a gypsy witch, Doom is a recurring supervillain, archenemy of the Fantastic Four, and leader of the fictional nation of Latveria. He is both a genius inventor and a sorcerer, and has served as a primary antagonist and occasional protagonist in the Marvel continuity since his creation. While Doom's chief opponents have been the Fantastic Four, he has also frequently battled Spider-Man, Doctor Strange, the Avengers, the X-Men, the Punisher, Blade, Iron Man, and the Silver Surfer, among others.
Doctor Doom has been featured in other Marvel-endorsed media such as feature films; video games; television series and merchandise such as action figures and trading cards. Doom was ranked as the 4th Greatest Villain by Wizard on its 100 Greatest Villains of All Time list. IGN's list of the Top 100 Comic Book Villains of All Time ranked Doom as #3.
Doctor Doom is a polymath scientific genius. Throughout most of his publication history, he has been depicted as one of the most intelligent humans in the Marvel Universe. This is shown on many occasions, most famously by actually curing Ben Grimm of his Thing form, which Reed Richards has never repeated. Doctor Doom and Reed Richards have both demonstrated competitively matched intelligences and are officially ranked equally in genius. Doctor Doom has also shown on many occasions to far outclass Richards in matters of sorcery and has contended for the title of Sorcerer Supreme.
