Matkalla Karvisen Piiloon ohitat Östersundom kirkon, vanha puukirkko rakennettu alunperin 1600-luvun loppupuolella. Kannattaa jättää auto kirkon pysäköintialueelle ja jatkaa kävellen. Kätkö sijaitsee Natura lintualueella veden läheisyydessä joten varovaista liikkumista luontoa kunnioittaen.
